We arguably have a squad to do it. Not a team though, sadly.

Correct, but they still keep on coming.
Whether Stendel was just a one off like Ismael maybe was, Im not sure about that. But its done now, its in the past.
Its extremely odd that the calls to sack Collins got worse the other night. I dread to think what the comments would be like if we'd lost, or worse, were in the bottom three!.

I've no doubt that Stendel's first full season is looked upon fondly by all of us but I struggle to understand how any fan can seriously advocate for his return as head coach. Since he's left us - over 4 years ago - he's coached 2 different teams for 27 games and won 5 of them. Putting that to one side this is someone who played Radlinger in goal and thought that Bahre was the best player to captain us in the Championshp o_O

Great first season under Stendel, but we had won just one game in sixteen the following season in the Championship before Struber took over.

I liked Stendel and his football style but whether it is a good idea to bring a successful manager back again , we'll I'm not so sure. It didn't work with Allan Clarke or Danny Wilson second time round.

Typically a DoF has two roles, 1) To oversee all Football related matters(contracts, signings, all teams playing same way etc) to take pressure of Managers to concentrate on coaching and be more of an expert in football related matters than a generic CEO, 2) a direct link between the footballing side and the board.
I doubt very much it will be to improve morale etc

I'd have Stendel back, but we've got to give Collins more time. He deserves a decent chance. It's what all of us would want in a new job.

We can't play a high press.. that also comes with a high defensive line because our current crop of defenders are way too slow for that formation. Ether by design or poor recruitment.. take your pick.
