Be a long time before we see the Ryder Cup this side of the Atlantic. The talent in this young American side is just insane.

Just heard them say it’s the strongest US Team world rankings wise since 1980. So over 40 years.

No excuses to be made as the US guys have been phenomenal, especially on the greens, but the lack of European fans has had an impact. Would these young Americans have coped with the different atmosphere the Ryder Cup brings? Would have made it a lot closer.

Roll on Italy. Be a very different European team then I think.

Were the European team being captained by Schopp?

Covid's created a bit of a weird team for Europe, too many players normally on the fringes excelled with no crowds. Westwood won the race to Dubai remember. Players like Wallace, Moli, Willett and Rose lost form and ranking points. The 2018 team had some quality Scandinavians in it. One in particular has had legal issues, but was a great matchplay specialist. No excuses but the whole Ryder Cup qualification process wasn't fit for purpose. They should have changed it.
Harrington's been a poor captain but I had my doubts before it started. Bring back either Bjorn or McGinley to captain.
Hopefully Rome will provide a narrow and short course. Plenty of deep rough, and nasty bunkers. Make each hole a between club range take away the driver option. Get the greens undulating, like most European courses. Big run offs etc.

Wasn’t exactly difficult to predict, but I did put my money where my mouth is and won £65 overall!!
