Well my guess is that the club didn’t anticipate enough people to come at that time to justify the expense of catering. Maybe @YTBFC can enlighten.
Nothing to do with me per se. But we always have a collection point for tickets, every game. This wasn’t a one off. It’s every game. Usually from noon onwards, so yesterday it was 9. The fanzone isn’t my area either, but it’s already been outlined above why that wasn’t deemed necessary. It’s not run by volunteers either. Up until very recently, the Trust weren’t even part of it due to an issue with their van. It’s staff at the club who set it all up. Like I say, not my line of work, but all I see is criticism when it’s open and criticism if it isn’t. I got speaking to a BBS’er last night, in the pub. He’s been through a very tough time personally. Was lovely to meet him and inspiring to hear his story. But he doesn’t post on here anymore because he reckoned the negativity was overwhelming. He isn’t wrong. There’s folk on here who really ought to get out more and assess their online habits. Up the Tykes
