    Daniel came to our cricket dinner which was on Friday 4th October at the Fairway. Despite the team's results, he was almost mobbed by lads wanting photos, things signing etc. The next day was the Preston defeat, then on Monday 7th the rumours started. I think the eloquently worded statement was on Tuesday 8th.

    Never heard of the bloke, same as I’d never heard of Stendel. I would prefer a domestic appointment personally.

    Would have liked a guy in position before Blackburn but won’t get hot and bothered about it.
