whenever we are in front with 5 minutes to go even if we are 3 nil up I expect a draw. No amount of counselling is going to remove that trauma.

It probably doesn’t get remembered the same as it was a league cup game & there was only a small crowd but the home game with Carlisle where we lost 3-0 a couple of seasons ago was about as bad as I’ve seen is.

They absolutely dominated us from start to finish.

Glass half full. Glimpses of what we're capable of, set against poor performances (both individually and as a team) in the same match. For me, we look exactly what we are, a team in transition under a new Head Coach, who have suffered with player absences for various reasons. The performance at Bournemouth was bad, as I said last Saturday. But so was our performance at Cardiff last season, Stoke & Preston the season before that and Shrewsbury & Wycombe the season before that, ad infinitum.
The campaigns of 2015/16 & 2020/21 should be a reminder that a season doesn't always finish as it starts.

not a great start, but we have a good many of the what may be first choice players unavailable for whtever reasons. Once we get them back on the scene then we will get a clearer idea.

Half empty, only player who has exceeded my expectations is Collins, never thought him much of a shot stopper but without him we’d be bottom 3 right now.

Still just in the half full mindset mainly due to the missing players.. But the scales are slowly tipping, especially when you look at the all important stats. We can be fancy and kick a ball about all you like but if you don't creeate chances, have a shot and score goals it is pointless. So these figures need to start improving.

Our shots per 90mins is 2nd lowest. 6 goals in 7 games from 58 shots. Not good needs improving both number of shots and conversion

Not sure to be honest piss poor at Bournemouth and but for a display of goalkeeping from Collins that was out of this world Wednesday night could have turned out very very differently from the way it did. While there are some good signs there are also some very worrying ones the amount of crosses we allow to be pumped into the area is ridiculous and we still look miles away up front.
