Just shows once you’re on the ‘Merry-go-round’ there’s always a job for you. He’s the worst we’ve had by a mile. And yes I do remember Nigel Spackman.

Along with Schopp, the worst manager/head coach at Barnsley ever, in my opinion. I never thought John McSeveney could ever be bested until the disaster that was the 2021/22 season.

Of the two dumplings we had that season he was given a proper poison chalice, the other had a pre season and time to get to know the player and was still useless. Wouldn't give up on him completely but Schopp as the saying goes need to be made to wear a bell round his neck so everyone can hear him coming.

Well I for one would have Poya and Markus back in a heartbeat.

We allus need volunteers to man the Ponty End car park :) Saying that, they'd probably end up redirecting folk up Beevor Court :D

Fair play to you for sticking by him. You're probably the only person that did. Worst manager in living memory for me, and statistically, arguably the worst in the Club's history. He's done the right thing. Gone to a country where there's no pressure, expectation or spotlight, but shed loads of cash. Fair play to him.

He was shocking but nowhere near as bad as Schopp. Schopp took over a confident, thriving team and destroyed them. He was way out of his depth.

Poya was rubbish too, but we had a few decent games under him. Seemed like he made us more organised, but was just hoping Bassi and Quina could create enough magic to save us

We’ll never know how good/bad Poya was.

Their confidence was shot, and antics in the background made the task for anyone very difficult.

He’s done well at a few teams in his career, so he’s got something about him.
