I take your point about the Police conduct - it looked appalling. But my point was that when those charges reached Sheffield Crown Court every one of them was thrown out. So it's hard to argue that the Court didn't do it's job, or that it didn't adjudicate impartially as it is required to do. Similarly, the civil proceedings were settled with large compensation payments being made by South Yorkshire Police. So the civil proceedings were resolved in the miners' favour as well. That's why I'm happy to trust Leeds Crown Court to deal with this case appropriately.
