I think he woukd be much better, he I dont think it does, I think the majority on here would kill anyone who murders/ rapes one of their kids/ wife etc if they had the opportunity, would it make them as bad as murderer who slaughtered their family, i dont think it does tbh, imo, does that make the one's who killed bin laden for example as BAD as bin laden, because that mission was never a capture one.
was the guy not searched because the officer didn't have the gear on to protect him from possible Covid infection from the suspect?
Let's be honest there are feelings and then there are actions. It takes a certain kind of person to carry out such an act, even with so much emotion attached. 99.9% of the time we all abide by the law even when pushed to the limit it's what separates us from being savages. Let the law take its course, murders get the right sentences. Why lower yourself to their standards and carry the emotional consequences for the rest of your life.
A horrendous incident and condolonces to his family. I wonder do the police have a protocol when arresting/searching suspects re Covid?
They do have normal PPE like all of us, but when an arrest is required all bets are off. Try and stay safe but masks aren't made for giving chase, restraining or ground fighting
I dont think I would have any qualms about snuffing out a life of somebody who had murdered and raped my 7 year old little girl, would it be murder, of course it would because it would be premeditated, could I live with knowing that that person probably suffered only 50% of what my daughter did, absolutely, would I murder an innocent person ( like the custody officer) absolutely not, he was murdered for no reason whatsoever
RIP to the office it's sad that you go on social media and people are comparing it to george floyd getting killed giving it will the premiership do a minutes silence, will players take the knee etc using it to divide. Sooner people realise that all lives matter equally weather in uniform or a pair or Jean's, black or white whatever.
I thought long and hard before posting, I've attend many code blue (zero) calls over the years. When all you can hear on comms is an officer taking a beating. Its frightening but no matter what you encounter officers stay professional throughout. It's not easy but if you let your feelings get the better of you then you're no better than the culprit. Throw into the mix now mental health issues the initial response isn't always black and white, sometimes it's a cry for help. Never join the police if you want black and white issues (not a reference to racism). There are too many issues which require an independent civil service. I worked in prisons for a while and prison sentences aren't helpful for numerous cases. It takes adult conversations to make our legal system better, unfortunately politicians aren't the ones who are either qualified or motivated to make em. Its about votes end of, otherwise we'll turn into the USA where religion and politics win through. See Wade vs Roe, where science and women's rights are ignored because religion and politics know best. Prison is always easier than spending money on prevention programmes which benefit society. These programmes do have to have be sold as prevention more society building initiatives. Police should be a stakeholder in those programmes but in a positive way. At the minute the police are used as nothing more than a big stick.
The offender was handcuffed just in back to back position. Means the search was totally inadequate at time of arrest and then at time of being placed in the van. I'm so frustrated but like I previously said due to workloads at this time, these practices could easily happen.
Is back to back the standard hands behind the back method? I'm struggling to work out how someone handcuffed could grab and aim a gun but I have to confess my only experience of handcuffs came in a rather erotic night with jlwbiglil
If they're compliant its usually a front stack we use, but in recent years politicians have asked for no cutting. The back to back is hands flat not stacked if that makes sense and his erotic choice (so I'm told or front to front involving bed posts, usually used by Wakey girls from many experiences when young, full of energt and capable, I'm now more of a 6 pints and snoring guy). The rear stack is for the naughty ones.
The guy was arrested for an alleged drugs offence and possession of ammunition ( according to Beeb) which makes it even more confusing.
