    Liked John Saunders. Clarkey let him go after winning promotion. Sad to see he died at the young age of 47. Just picked up on Wiki. Probably aware at the time and forgot.

    Keith Brown shouldn’t get in any side, ever.

    If we’d played proper centre halves instead of raffle winners like him in 99/2000 we’d have gone up comfortably in my view

    I agree. Probably a bit unfair including him on that list. In Division 4 he was a good centre half. I don't think I knew he'd passed away so young.

    personally I think 3 at the back would be more effective with Tony Gallimore as one wing back, David Mulligan the other and Peter Shirtliff the glue holding it together
