It seems that Pinillos is the best of the 3, to me he’s the only one ready for regular Championship football and he’s by far the best player but as someone pointed out a couple of weeks ago struggles immensely vs players with pace, Fryers is arguably the best at dealing with wingers but I can’t see him being here past the summer and Williams seems to be the best at tackling and bombing forward but his positioning isn’t great and he’s generally quite naive like you’d expect from a 19 year old
Not when they are facing the wrong way and racing in like he was they aren't, they have a chance that's all, it would have been easy to give it up as a lost cause, loads of similar efforts end up in the back of the defenders own net especially when the ball is right on actual goal line
Five posters praised Ben Williams in this thread and another offered an explanation for his performance.
I think that you may well be absolutely right. I like Thiam a lot, but he also has large aspects of his game that he needs to work on,especially defensively.
We need Thiam to comeback in to form for the run in. He’s an important player for us and when he’s playing well he forces the opposition to retreat rather than attack. When he’s not ‘on it’ he still works hard and chases, but is often the wrong side of the play.
What do you think to the point I made? Your post tells me everything I need to know but I'd be interested to see how you respond.
I thought my post had answered your point to be honest. Look, it’s obvious that you and I see things differently. And, given it’s a public forum, such differences are to be expected (and respected). I’m sure I have annoyed you by taking issue with what I perceive (and it’s only my perception after all) to be an overly negative take on the club and it’s staff/players. But you are definitely entitled to your viewpoint, just as I am entitled to mine. I’m happy to leave it there. Hope you are too.
