    Oh, well I'm well into my 40s but I honestly couldn't name every player that's played for us in the last year, never mind the last 5-10 years, especially ones that only managed about 20 appearances :D

    It does get harder with the turnover of players narrdays or if you have a memory as crap as mine.

    I think Palmer will make it and hope he signs a new contract. A good season developing in league 1 next season, then we'll flog him at the end of the 23/24 season to a Championship side.

    It wasn’t that McCarthy particularly rated Digby. He took him because Marcus Evans wasn’t putting any money into the club & was cutting the wage budget so he had to take punts on cheap options like Digby in the hope that some of them would come good.

    I’ve always said we wasted Digby, Rose, Clark & Noble-Lazarus. All of them should’ve been having loan spells from age 17-18. They were kept in our first team squad but barely ever played any football & rarely even made the bench.

    Maybe Digby & Noble-Lazarus would’ve never made it with us due to injuries but I’m sure Rose & Clark could’ve at least as squad players if they’d had a better development.

    It was a joy to watch that youth team.
