Once again, all at Barnsley Football Club would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during what has been a testing period for everyone. But now, together, we can look forward to a positive start to the Sky Bet Championship season. It seems a bit daft that we have to go through the whole rigmarole of "paying" £0. I'm sure we didn't do that last time.
Thats going to annoy my Dad - he wont give his credit card details to anyone online - why do you need a credit card to watch a free football match
Dunno mate, seems daft to me. I'll have to do the same for my 80 year old Mum. She hates computers, but at least she's only half a mile away and I can pop round when she gets her code. Then I can set it all up using my paypal account. I'm presuming your Dad isn't close to you looking at your username
I got my code tonight and I am forever grateful to the hard work of all the staff at Barnsley. I am really proud to support such a caring, community supporting team. Thank you to all at Barnsley FC
Well done Whitey, Beth and the rest of the team (apologies, I should be able to mention more of you by name, but it's been a really long day). This must be a logistical pain in the backside. And one to repeat numerous times over the course of the next few months - possibly the whole of the season. You all deserve a medal. So now the burning question is: on a scale of 1 to 10, how safe do we all think our credit card details are in the hands of the ever-capable, super-reliable EFL?
Very disappointed that the new app has a software threshold for viewing games. My Apple iPad is version 10.2.2 and the new app calls for 10.4.0 as the minimum. I have therefore had to install the passcode on my Samsung phone, which when thinking about it, whilst being disappointed regarding restricted viewing, is I suppose, is better than not being able to watch the games at all. It goes without saying, we have got to get off to a good start starting on Saturday. I truly hope that we can beat Luton , then take at least one point from Reading away followed by three more from one of our traditional bogey teams Coventry City who we play at the shrine on September 26th. Whilst it's always nice to be involved in the Cups, I truly believe that this season is more important than most regarding the league and therefore, personally I wouldn't be too disappointed if we were eliminated from the Caraboa Cup at the hands of Middlesbrough. If nothing else, it will give us an indication of the task we face when we meet them in the league at the Riverside on the 3rd October. C'mon you Reds.
Couldn't you watch it on your tablet by signing in through a web browser instead of the dedicated app? Not that I know anything about IT, mind.
Don't really know OG. Like your good self I'm afraid I'm not up to speed with everything IT related. My son who heads up one of the local Councils IT teams has told me that because my Apple iPad is not the latest generation ( by that I think he means it's an older version) I am unable to download the latest iFollow app, whereas my recently acquired Samsung Android phone has that capability. As I said previously, whilst my field of vision is severely restricted, I take some comfort from the fact that I will if of course it works, be able to at least watch our games until we are allowed to see games live at Oakwell, once we get the nod that it's safe from Boris and Co. Given that a second wave could be on the horizon, we don't really know when that will be of course.
