Is fairly straight forward planning. Stand holds 4,500. You hold back and print 300 tickets for on the day, and pre-sell 4,200. Either the way, they are marked as sold.

Yes, they could say this, but the hype over it being a sell out nearly is self perpetuating and probably helps sell even more.

I've always thought that, especially with Wembley's. You assume blocks have already been sold, when sometimes they haven't even been released.

I guess the problem with the match against Blackpool and today’s beam back is with communication not capacity then. For both matches, people have (wrongly) thought that we were sold out, or close to, and so made the decision not to attend. It turns out the club made the right choices and planned it well but broke down in the communication of that. If fans are led to wrongly believe something due to misleading information is that their fault or the clubs? Even if it is theirs, should the club not wish to correct their misconceptions to reduce the frustration of fans and anger that is misdirected at the club? Whoever’s fault it ultimately is, it would be preferable to all if it did not occur in the first place. Maybe it is something for the club to consider in the future.

Yes, it seems the club have taken s number of tickets ‘off sale’ to reserve them for pay at turnstiles, which is a good idea, not everyone has IT access or don’t know until the day if they are going. The issue seems to have been this hasnt been communicated, so people looking online think it’s sold out and don’t turn up on the day either. I think a simple statement saying x amount of limited tickets will be reserved to be available on the day so arrive early to have a chance of getting in would do it. We know from Saturday that a few on here thought it was sold out due to online ticketing so didn’t go, but in actual fact some tickets had been reserved for pay on day and in fact there were empty seats available.
