    I don’t know if Patrick meant this in relation to just Barnsley fans or football fans in general, but when we interviewed him for the Trust during the Johnson run of defeats, he kept saying ‘we want to throw the baby out with the bathwater’.

    ‘Mansford out. Cryne out. Johnson out. And then what? There’s nobody left so what’s next? When one thing is wrong everything is wrong’
