By all accounts Liverpool sell as many retro shirts in the main club shop as they do 'current' so yes, there is definitely a market. (Liverpool I am sure indicative of most 'big' clubs)
Wonder what he would have done with the likes of wannabe hard men Kevin Muscat Robbie Savage and Joey Barton.
Yes,.put mine on the other day. I cropped the photo to a more just head and shoulders. See it still fits
Young uns just bought the white one. They'd sold out of the 96/97 one but they're getting more in apparently.
My 16 yr old got the white away Lyon’s cakes one today, my mate (his godfather) visiting from NZ and visiting Oakwell for the first time in about 15 years bought him it. Only fair, he’s missed over a decade’s worth of birthdays and Christmases… Rhys loves the old shirts though - he has several of mine from over the years which I wouldn’t get on any more. I didn’t keep all of them sadly.
I was in there today with my grandson, after renewing our season tickets. I thought the Lyon's cakes one looks great and I said to my grandson, "It's a pity I am too fat to look good in a football shirt these days". To which he replied "yeaah". What do you mean, yeah - you're not supposed to agree with me.
My 96/7 shirt is way past it's sell-by date well to be fair it's well past it's "cut it up for dusters"-by date so I'm really tempted to replace it. Good move by the club.
