I reckon Duff had plans & transfer targets. Of course that all went to pot, when Swansea came knocking. We lost 2 weeks prep by getting to Wembley, another 2 while Duff making his drawn out departure. I said as much a month ago & that’s basically confirmed in the club letter.
We’ve suffered again due to a little bit of success, manager & captain jumping ship & delays to pre season preparation, that couldn’t really be helped. The picture could have been completely different I’m not for them spawny gets down the road.
Not all the new lads will walk straight into the first team. There’s some future layering going on.. :)

I'd say we lost Isted and possibly Thomas. We'll never know who the main targets were.

I would say it shouldn't be out of reach to recruit a top League 1 standard player, if this overseas player is that standard then a good job well done from the recruitment team

Like Peter Handyside, Paul Gibbs, Craig Ireland, Garry Monk or Mike Flynn.

Hopefully. I think we have the money for one substantial signing quality wise. Mads was better quality than top of L1 though and we are highly unlikely to attract his level.

Only if we're not going to pay him any wages for 3 years.

In an interview I have seen, the lad himself thinks that RWB suits him best.

I saw a montage of his best bits at Woking earlier (can’t remember where or I would try and post!). He looked to play both RWB and LWB or maybe he was an out and out winger at times. Looks like he can use both feet. Pace to burn too.

He probably will be rough around the edges but he’s a young lad who I’m sure is improving and learning. If he was the finished article he wouldn’t be here. All the best to him. I wonder if the people who are writing off our new lads have actually seen any of them play?

There's been lots of accusations thrown at our board of directors. Some valid, most not. But no one can accuse them of failing to sign adequate cover at right back.
