I like him & think he looks far more ready to play for us than Shaw & Dallas who went out on loan but the truth is he’s behind 3 players so he isn’t going to play for us in the near future. Good move for him.
Whatever you think of the recruitment strategy this is an uncontroversial move. Send the lad out in loan to get competitive minutes. Watch him during the loan and assess
To be fair though at 3:0 down the crowd stuck with the team. Very pleasing. I took a mate with me on Tuesday, an Everton fan. He commented on the crowd staying with the team.
It’s layering innit. Jordan Williams will be off to someone who will pay him more next summer. O’Keeffe looks like he could be a star. Think he’ll fetch us some proper money at some point. Lofthouse then gets his chance having played plenty of men’s footy to get him ready for it. Things don’t always go to plan of course and time will tell if he can make it at this level. But he looks decent and the theory behind it all is sound.
Only seen him once in the pizza trophy game but I thought he looked decent in that. More game time can’t hurt him though.
How many players have we ever loaned to a non league club who have made it with us after? Jacob Brown? That's it. It's never a good sign to be loaned out that far down. Instead of loaning so many players out, wouldn't it have been better to use all their combined wages to sign one better player, going for quality over quantity.
I don't dislike Barnsley fans really. And I agree that the support on Tuesday was excellent. I'm just getting really bored of every single bit of news being met with negative comments.Every thread I open there's someone attempting to find a negative angle. It's a minority but they're vocal and I'm just really, really bored of it.
