I think all stewards have to have a Disclosing and Barring Service check before they can start - a lengthy process ???
Don’t think its too bad. I just had one done in probably less than 2 weeks (although had applied for one before. Not sure if that makes it quicker)
For those who are saying there isn’t a national issue with events staff. One of many articles stating the plethora of reasons as to why it’s an issue not exclusive to Barnsley right now. https://www.eventschool.london/amp/...perienced-and-qualified-event-staff-in-demand
It's truly embarrassing, went to a little market today and most stallholders accepted payment by card and here we have BFC (a multi million pound business) that haven't got this facility in place. Its not like they've had a lot of time to sort it out! And then they wonder why they invite so much criticism!
I think we underestimate how little staff we have to implement these things, especially without the CEO starting yet. I would expect to improve week on week, like at most clubs, as we move away from 18 months behind closed doors. Judging by the Southampton game today we’re not the only team with turnstile and ticketing issues. Imagine being Birmingham and being in a ballot game in game out.
