Personally I like to take this opportunity to wish him all the luck in the world...I honestly think he's going to need it with our board especially with Conway.......what you reckon 4 matches before he's stating we need more experience for this league......yes we've got to give him a chance.....but unfortunately in my opinion he's trying to juggle oranges with both hands tied behind his back before he starts.....too much interference from upstairs dictating style of play etc....if the ...not one single bid for any of our players statement after our most successful season for years didnt ring any alarm bells then I don't know what will.....
Who ever came in isn't / wasn't going to find it easy....
This mob haven't any ambition other than to make money from player sales...
Forget the 6 million in loss revenue that relegation would bring....they will recoup that by being in the top half of league one ...paying less wages and expenses less costs in total and 2 divisions above them in which to sell players not counting the European outlets they own...hence the we don't fear relegation statement too....
Good luck Poya lad.....welcome to Barnsley it might not be worthwhile unpacking...please note us bsly folk are nothing like these mercenaries who own our club......

Poya is pretty young to be a head coach and has just been coaching Sweden's u21s. He's clearly been employed with a specific brief of developing our young players in order to sell them on for maximum profit. He won't, therefore, be asking for more experience, as he'll know full well that that's not the plan.

The owners always said, however, that the plan was to progress by buying a better class of youngster, enabling the club to compete at a higher level. That relies on consistently excellent recruitment, which is very difficult to achieve. A more likely outcome is what we've got, a young squad yoyoing between the Championship and League One. Last season was a blip for many reasons...

Good luck Poya. He is taking on a big challenge and needs to be backed in January. Let's see if he can get us playing in a way that will move us away from the bottom of the league.
