So as someone who has not lived in Barnsley for the last 32 years due to my work and have had a season ticket for years and go to games on my own will be disadvantaged. Very strange decision
Not as I understand it. Irrespective of numbers in the group. The lead person will be drawn. And until the final figure is reached the draw will stop. It should only become an issue for the last 5 places imo. Obviously 6 would be too many. If the next is a single then 4 would be the next max number. I know what I mean if no-one else does.
Its all done via the ticketing system automatically. The club have no override. Even their families who are season ticket holders are also in the draw (no exceptions). No manual club override. No tickets for mates or fans reps So if it chooses lots of groups of 1 person there will be a smaller capacity
No. Maybe I didn't explain properly. The algorithm will draw entries to the ballot randomly and wont take into account the number in the group. It will do this until the stadium is full and taking into account the social distancing requirement for each group. The point I was trying to make was if there are lots of groups of 1 there will be less capacity because of the social distancing of 2 seats in each direction.
