Calm down sweetheart what's with getting personal. You should grow up. It's a social media platform mainly for kids and Z list reality TV types. There is nothing you can do on there that you can't already do on other social media platforms. Then there is the whole security risk of having account, which is why politicians were stopped the other day from having government accounts on there.
I sort of used the analytics on the Kerry Cricket Instagram account I run but, being unable to shell out for a business account I'm not sure of the extent it can effectively spread the word.
I think it’s great. My son goes on Tik-Tok and is bombarded with stuff from ‘big clubs’. Now he never was gonna have a choice and was a Red from birth but lots of his pals are fans of other clubs and barely know Barnsley FC exist. Owt that reaches out to the nippers round here is a massive YES for me.
I'm not sure about how Instagram works with spreading the word and it showing to new people but tiktok is second to none. If I signed up and watched cricket videos I'd start to see a lot more random cricket videos so you're would possibly appear. If I watched your video long enough for it to think I was interested it would show me your club again and again. By doing that it reaches out to people who have a vague interest in cricket but otherwise wouldn't have heard of your club at all and it's people from all over the world. Oh and the business account is free, the only difference is you get more analysis of who is viewing and engaging but in return you get less access to the songs or sounds to use in your videos. I'd recommend you downloading it for the club and using a personal account. If you make one or two catchy videos it can really take off
This to me says you don't know what it is, or at least what it has become. It's popularity initially was with younger people, but it grew far beyond that during the pandemic. People, mainly celebrities, are drifting away from using Twitter and Facebook in favour of TikTok because its more expressive, and is generating greater exposure. And it is A list celebrities who are on there; Will Smith, the Rock, Billy Eilish to name but a few. It is quite a similar concept to Instagram, but I think that's more down to Instagram copying the TikTok model and not vise versa.
