In fairness I think the postman is more of a commercial postie than residential one so he's probably got it a lot easier than you lot
posties jobs are both commercial and residential and that will never change, not in my lifetime anyway, just be far fewer residential in the coming years covid has really fecked up the guys at the top plans for now, but even a change in ceo the plan will remain the same
50/60 hours? What duty have you got, I'm on a 30 hour contract but rarely work to those hours, I work usually 40 hours.
I'am full time and do around 12 hours o/t but that's with going in early for ips, day off and excess if its busy especially if we don't work our day off as its usually left for us (apart from Tracked).
it's all indoor overtime bar the walking bit on day off, i'm on 38hrs plus usually go in early 2hrs and if i work my day off, that's about 20hrs overtime depends on your office budget, they've being throwing overtime at us since march, though they've just started to cut it a little, still did 18hrs this week
