No mate. Laura thought you were quite a character though. We've sat on single table near dartboard under telly a few times.
Hope in a nice way. Introduce thissen next time. I'm at a disadvantage lol. It'll not be Cheltenham. Youngest son is getting married in london that day. Selfish bleeder.
Typical eh! On the flipside I have very fond memories of the (pre-match lol) away day at Charlton just before the lockdown. Old fella spoke to me and mum on bus from Greenwich, and we received a very warm welcome in micro-pub, which was crammed full of Charlton fans. I couldn't believe we were in London to be honest, particularly being spoken to on a bus! The stewards in the ground on the other hand.. appalling
TBH mate I/we (hoyland reds) travel a lot watching tarn. And the vast majority of places we've been. have enjoyed the company of the opposing fans. London included. I wouldn't have said that in the 70s/80s though.
+1 for this. The Post Office issue batches of tracking numbers to businesses and they keep them till they need them, so the provision of a Royal Mail tracking number is not proof of posting. It sounds like they are trying it on mate.
Cheers my Dad thought the same. He thinks the seller has changed his mind and the speed in which I received my refund compounds this theory. I'd like to think eventually he'd have been in touch with a newfangled excuse as I'd bought from him before. Alas it matters not now. I'll give him benefit of doubt.
A new development. The item arrived on Saturday morning. I contacted the seller to try and arrange payment. As I'd already spent the refund and bought another item. I asked him for his details so my Dad could arrange payment. He contacted me. Thanking me and asking if I wanted two more of the items. I also gave him my Dads e-mail address to contact him. I haven't heard from him since. He's out of pocket and I want to pay him but haven't heard a thing.
Another update. The fella got back in touch after I asked him to invoice me and just sent me a copy of the refund and transaction details. I don't think he's that computer savvy to put it mildly. I've offered to send him a cheque and am awaiting his response. To be honest I hope he replies and asks for a bank transfer it would be easier. (I'd never ask for a persons bank details). I'll wait and see.
I can’t see you have mentioned anywhere that you use PayPal ? I have found them excellent in the past and it has been easy to make payments which are reputedly secure.
It's never let me set one up. I tried registering last year and it declined me. I've always paid for things on the card.
lol. It's frustrating. I've a feeling the guy must be a millionaire. He can't even go through Ebay to get his money because the case is closed as far a they are concerned. I'm being honest about it and want to make a payment and he's being so illusive. I've still got the outer packaging form the parcel he sent. It has an address on it. However, I need him to confirm his name and address as people use pseudonyms on Ebay just like on here .
Can you still email him via EBay even though the case is closed ? Or the old fashioned way and send a letter ? I’m like you in that I won’t rest until I know any “ owings” are settled
I have been mate. However, he hasn't been replying to my messages. To start with I gave him my Dads contact details to arrange payment. He never got back in touch. My Dad then transferred me the money. I asked him for an invoice via Ebay and he sent me confirmation of the refund he sent me with no options to pay. (This might be because the case is classed as closed). I then asked him if he wanted me to post a cheque or do a bank transfer. The ball is well and truly in his court. I'm an honest person and just want to make payment to him. If I don't hear anything by Thursday. I'll just post him a cheque to the address on the packaging. It's up to him whether he cashes it or not.
