    Both Ant and Caroline stood down. Ant accepted help and went into rehab, Caroline turned help down. If ITV did treat them differently (although I’ve seen nothing to suggest they did) then that may have been why. Also, although Ant’s could have ultimately have been more serious, they may see it as the crash itself wasn’t the intended outcome he set out to achieve (although entirely likely it could happen) but you can’t accidentally allegedly hit someone over the head with a lamp whilst they’re sleeping. He was trying to get from A to B and being a stupid dangerous ******** whilst doing it. She was, allegedly, intentionally trying to hurt someone. Couple that with him accepting help and her refusing then they may have felt differently about their levels of wanting to support them (if indeed they did).

    Lots of comparisons to Ant, but probably a better comparison is Jamie Lee Collins. How much work has he had since his conviction for a similar offence?

    Ant was convicted for drink driving after a crash where minor injuries were sustained - and no hospital treatment was required. While to me drink driving is an abhorrent practice and he fully deserved his large fine and driving ban, he has not been charged of convicted of an (alleged for Caroline Flack) act of violence or intimidation towards another person that he was in a relationship with.
