I remember my mate and me watching this on TOTP when it was first broadcast and being in stitches. We were convinced Jasper was singing F***ing Moped.
That sounds a good gig. Saw Zoot Money some time back at the Brude in Leeds. I still have my vinyl copy of the Ruttles LP. Innes WAS a genius, sadly he's no longer with us. He played the Brude not too long before he died. I wish I'd seen him, but was away DJing.
John Shuttleworth, another comedy genius. This was a big tune back then. Loved it, a bit of punk kitchen sink comedy.
Graham Fellows. The Jilted John album is a masterpiece of early home 4 tracking. The title track was re-recorded & punked up for the single. B side is great too.. I also think he was in Corry? Love interest for Gail Tilsley or somebody.
Fair play to you, mate, you have an amazing memory for absolute dross. It does make me wonder who the hell bought this particular single? Surely even the most rabid cricket fan wouldn't have touched this with a barge pole!
