Needed a cheap car a few years ago and went for a Fiesta...cheap to run , parts cheap and garage bills if any tend to be low because there not hard to work on...Daughter still has hers and its about 10 years old
Cheers everyone, plenty to go on here. Wife has a 1.25 Fiesta 16 plate so on safe ground with that, the 208's the lad has looked at seem to be consistently cheaper to insure, and whilst it'll be his first car, most of the insurers will take into account his first 2 years as a named driver too. Thanks again.
Remember that fords are bread and butter stuff for mechanics so any work that needs doing is cheaper. Insurance tends to be cheaper too due to cheaper bodywork repairs.
My lad lives in Wolverhampton now and works at Evans Halshaw in Walsall. I can put it his way if you want, see what he could do? Big reds fan.
Thank you. Leave it with me at moment and I'll chat to my lad and PM you, that's really kind of you mate.
My lad's first car was an 08 plate Corsa 1.0 engine. He had it just over 3 years up to this January and it ran like clockwork, never had an ounce of trouble with it.
Bought my van from Roy Needham on Wakefield Rd and they were very easy to deal with. They seemed to have a good choice of cars.
