    Wow! I remember it well. Was on the papers and couldna wait to buy something just to get New Money in my change.
    But 50 years is scary

    I delivered papers morning and night 6days a week for £1. Talk about being ripped off

    When I was about 12 I found a half crown coin(12 and a half pence in today’s money)I thought I’d got the world. They were bloody big coins as well.
