Whilst @Fonzie is on his wrecking spree..... I can categorically assure you that I, will not be within a radius of 200 miles of the curry mahal today and therefore unable to damage said institution. Can I have a pint please?
Do you do requests? Got some right shabby service in a shop the other day, was wondering if you could give that a bit of a kicking.
It's not a straight comparison though, much of Sweden is rural and UK has a much higher number of the various ethnic groups that are particularly susceptible.
What are your plans for Xmas day? (This isn't a invite just curious if you are using the "bubble") but i think if I felt so strongly about it all I would abstain from seeing anyone at all whether social distancing or not, I'd order my shop online and stay at home until its all over.
What I've written there has nothing to do with my plans for Christmas - it's a summation of how badly I think the pandemic has been handled, and how the government has made a balls of it all. I'm not sat in my kitchen in bits and pieces, disinfecting my shopping after storing it in the garage for 72 hours. If you must know, the brother in law and his wife are coming round for dinner. We're all in our 30s, all in good health and we've all followed government guidelines as best we can over the past 8 months - whether we agree with them or not. What do I feel so strongly about? What's your point? What are you even on about? You've lost me.
The government has made a balls up but to totally ock the country down every 4 months like some on here wanted is ridiculous. (I think you are on of those who has been calling for total lockdowns on here but I could be mistaken apologise if I am) It should be about protecting the most vulnerable making sure they get the vaccine 1st, if I felt so strongly that the government should be locking down and the virus was so deadly i wouldn't have gone back to work, wouldn't have sent my kids back to school until it was all over.
The most vulnerable will get the vaccine first. In the meantime, what measures would you take to protect them?
The only reason people have said to lock the country down recently is because they've made that much of a balls up of it, that a reset button almost needs to be pressed. I've never called for a long term total lockdown since about May. Any establishment that is open (whether it supermarket or restaurant, pub or salon, bookies or corner shop) needs to be made covid-safe and take the relevant measure to ensure this. I went to Aldi last Sunday and it was like a cattle market. Yet the curry house round the corner (that managed the pandemic very well during the summer) is closed. The government is pathetic.
Lockdowns will only work if they lock down school, colleges and universities too. What’s the point in shutting pubs, restaurants and stopping families from mixing if all these kids and students are going to study and then bringing it home. we hardly had a single covid case all year at work then had 50 off during the last lockdown
I wouldn't be going round hugging my gran over Xmas put it that way. Just got to isolate themselves from everyone else really. I know its a hard thing to do and I feel for anyone doing it but needs must.
The problem is, there hasn,t been any lockdowns since the 1st one only wishy washy restrictions that won,t ever work, and if you want to get numbers down, thats the only way to do it, lock and stock, it isn,t people doing what they shouldn,t be doing thats the problem, its what people are allowed to do that will keep the numbers up, going to work, all shops open, public transport, schools open with 8 million kids in the uk, general everyday contact, you only have to go into town, there is no middle ground, its a proper lockdown or just accept that to keep the economy going, the numbers will increase, and take it on the chin..
