Forgot about him tbh. Thought he looked sharp in pre-season but got a knock didn't he? Is he fit now? If he's fit and training well then yes argument to say he's ahead of Thiam I guess.
He wasn't great with the ball against Leeds but defended well. He's our best full back, possibly even our best defender. Maybe its injury but history suggests not, this playing him one week and bombing him out completely the next is very odd.
We have Brown and Thomas who can play wide. I'd use green ahead of Thiam, and I'd also rather push Jordan WIlliams up the pitch ahead of Thiam. I would use Thiam only if we need a bit of muscle. I actually wanted him on Vs Leeds and he was disappointing again. If/ when Schmidt is up to speed, I think we go 4-4-2 with him playing alongside Woodrow.
Agree with this he wasnt the weak link against leeds thiam was. He didnt have his best ever game v leeds but he wasnt our worst player. William's was the one who got dispossessed 1st half and bamford was then played in 1 on 1 but fluffed it.
