Wow that's amazing. As a child in the 1970s the anticipation of the match was enough. Then the smell of the sweet tobacco wafting through the air, with a hint of bovril. That's all we needed modern football is an embarrassment I'm sure loads of kids will be crying now, without their hecky masks. Im committed to millwall away and then im finished 40 years and done
That reminds me of that time I went into a bar in Austria equipped with home made face masks depicting all the bar staff. It was uproar, we cried buckets with laughter. Never grow up, it's a trap!
If you're going to stop supporting because the club are doing something nice to try and attract and keep young fans, the club is better off without you. You won't be missed.
My little lad has promised to photocopy you a copy of his poster and will even fax it to you, on two conditions:- 1) You continue to support Barnsley 2) You step away from the Special Brew.
Better of without a supporter who's been going for 40 years with no bother. It's amazing this mask, seen it all over on social media wi young ens: erm not seen olt.
I remember when my sister worked at Portsmouth, they gave out mince pies at Christmas. They did it in fear that it could go horribly wrong. It didn't it went down really well.
The parent might appreciate that but the kid couldn't care less whether s/he gets in free or not, they'd be much happier with a poster or mask.
A couple of things. One. The mask thing isn't recent, it is somebody retelling what we did before. At yesterday's game they gave away posters. Two. A nicer thing would have been to slip a £50 note under every seat but the club doesn't have an unlimited pot of cash. A poster is a good thing, it is something a kid can put on their wall. 20 years ago I had a wall covered in posters, an extra one would have been greatly appreciated. It's why the football magazines of the 90s were packed full of posters because kids want them. Three. If you really are that pissed off that the club gave something away for free then I suggest you are lighten up a bit.
