Who said anything about it being great? It’s making the best of a bad result. The vast majority of away fans go for the day out as a whole, the match itself is only a part of the day out. Why not try and enjoy it? Hardly embarrassing from the fans.

In fact one of my favourite away days was Charlton a few years ago when on a beautiful sunny day the game was called off 1 hour before KO due to a waterlogged pitch. As we were already there and in the pub we had a great afternoon not spoiled by any on pitch failings
