    How is pointing out he says there's no excuse for racism then following it up with an excuse twice bullying or virtue signalling.

    Some people need to get a bloody grip!

    That whether you intend to or not, you're downplaying and excusing racism. That needs to be highlighted, as if the rest of us turn a blind eye it makes it easier for racism and hate to spread.

    It is not possible to 'incite' someone into racist behaviour that wasn't already racist. It's not possible to only enter into racist behaviour due to alcohol.

    No one has said we have lots of racist fans.

    Having a small number of racist fans is still too many, add to them people who are prepared to excuse the racism and the numbers get big enough so that we are a club that gets headlines linking us to racism.

    IMHO if your reaction to that is ‘that’s not fair - most of our fans aren’t racist’ then the problem will persist, and you’re not without responsibility for that.

    But that probably means I’m virtue signalling or something.
