    Rugby league team Featherstone Rovers were always known as the Colliers but its just Rovers now or Fev.

    We certainly used colliers when I started watching. Mid sixties. Then tykes then reds. Quite like Tarn missen.

    I had a quick look through the old newspaper archives and from the early 20th c to the 1970's Reading were referred to as The Biscuitmen....after Huntley and Palmer, in its day the largest biscuit factory in the world.

    I've stockpiled the gingerbread chocolate digestives, down to 38p at the Co op. Was planning on snacking and watching a film if it snowed. As it is I'm doing boring jobs in between posting on here.
