I agree, I really do but it makes no sense to sell your assets that could help you do that.

based on all the evidence (hindsight isn’t a get out of jail card) could you honestly say they did everything they could to give themselves the best chance of, in their own words “stabalise in the championship”?

Just a thought. How can we have ‘heroes’ when anyone that might possibly develop into one in any real sense (eg Glavin, McCarthy, Redfearn etc.) is inevitably sold to in order turn a profit as soon as possible, in line with the business model? And out of interest, who in the present squad do you see achieving such a status?

    No. We definitely didn't.

We needed a Sollbauer type in the Summer and I think we needed a similar player for midfield. Somebody like Matty James, who I believe we were close to signing but who knows.

We could have not signed a Sollbauer type and just kept Pinnock at all costs. I'd have taken that as well. Just by doing either of these things, I think the 'dross' would have performed much better.

We're three points off safety in the Championship, where every bugger cheats to stay up. It's nothing to applaud, but it isn't the 'worst season/team ever' scenario some people try to paint.

For me Pinnock for £3m is the more criminal sale. If we'd kept him until January we'd have been safe and would have been able to sell him for at least £2m, if not the same £3m

Well obviously, as I'm sure you knew, I was referring to Hecky's response to the exodus we saw after promotion last time. I wasn't calling anyone a hero myself.

A cheap player has a better chance of shining in league 1. A better chance of shining means a better chance of selling.

A player shining in League One isn't worth as much as a player on a five year contract performing well in the Championship.

No he isn't but there's a much higher chance of the cheap player shining in league one than performing well in the championship.

How many have honestly performed well in the championship this year?

Fair enough. But you do appear to perceive way more quality in the current squad than I do. I hope you are right, obviously, given I’m a committed supporter of the club. I’m sure we all do.

Not many based on our league position, but you didn't need me to answer that really did you? They've undoubtedly improved though as the season has gone on. The majority on long term contracts, and still in with a chance of finishing fourth bottom - which was the aim on day one of the season.

I think they're better than some supporters are giving them credit for. I don't like to see some of the over the top negative comments that lament them as useless or dross, when we've already got more points than the last time we were relegated.

I think we were two Summer signings away from this squad being really competitive. That's the major failing for me.

At then end of last season Brentford had debts of £71 million.

I don’t really get where you are coming from with this argument that we have more points than last time given circumstances must obviously vary between two seasons. For example, 50 points will often be enough to avoid relegation but some seasons it isn’t. If we get relegated, as I think even you know deep down we will be, comparing point tallies between the two seasons will be completely irrelevant, given the outcome is just the same.

we saw that, I’m staggered why they didn’t?

unless they aren’t judging success in the same way we do?

do they care which league we play in, I don't really think so
and if they did they’d have made more of an effort to achieve stability. words are easy to throw back when things go wrong but was “the best ever transfer window” purely cash related and didn’t have any relevance to player quality... or did they genuinely believe they’d bought enough quality? who will ever know

We definitely aren’t the worst team ever, they are ill equipped for the task they are asked to do

Wasn't it 'most successful' and I think it was linked to getting the number of deals over the line and a percentage of our top targets. Either way it was a stupid, stupid thing to say.

I think they thought they'd bought enough quality. Honestly. But I think that shows the lack of experience we have, not just on the pitch, but in other areas of the club as well. We got cocky, and it's backfired, but we should still support the players because I don't think they've given up yet and we've still got a chance.

I think it's more likely we'll get relegated than stay up, but why are you questioning my optimism as if I'm making it up? I think we've got a great chance of getting three points on Saturday in what should be a good game. If we don't then it's safe to say even I'll struggle to be optimistic, but will be wanting us to finish with three wins from three and stay up.

Comparing points tallies is still relevant when some of the comments are way over the top. It isn't the only factor, but it is evidence to counter some claims. Just like the league table since Struber took over is another one.

Danes gone quiet again if anybody’s noticed? Fookin sheitehouses to a man the owners and executives of Barnsley FC, make me sick to my stomach what they’re doing to our club. About Time they sell up and fooked right off!
