Moon was only sacrificed today. He didn’t need to be, regardless of whether Kane was playing for us or not.

We will have to agree to disagree but I hope I don't see moon played in center midfield or defence again I think he could do with a rest. Honermark looked good coming on but why was he dropped after a decent show Wednesday? Very frustrating at the minute. Do we have a recall option on kane?

Not sure this is one to agree to disagree on. Kane had completely checked out and wasn’t fit. He needed the loan move for himself as much as we needed it for him as well.

If he’d have stayed I doubt you’d have seen much of him. And that would have opened up a completely different debate

He was used under val last season untill his injury. I think he must of been able to offer more than moon had he stayed who I don't think is ready for this league but schopp thinks otherwise.

He was moved to midfield on Wednesday. Hondermark been messed about also. As have others. The stability of a tried and tested midfielder would have been a better option. Having said that, Schopp chops and changes all the time - which probably means that Kane is THE beneficiary of his tactics this season - by being out of it.

Honestly, if Kane had stayed with us based on where he was at that time, I’m not sure he’d have made the squad in most games this season.

    Just my opinion though.

Schopp has managed to wreck Styles and Brittain, and is now on the way to doing the same with Moon. I personally think he would have set Kane back another 12 months. On a human level I’m pleased Kane is enjoying his football elsewhere

Very frustrating watching kane. He has undoubted ability and anyone who saw him at Donny could see he was a player.
Always looked half a yard off the pace and maybe he has struggled with injuries or fitness. I do believe he is in the best possible place at the moment and hopefully we will get a much better player back (whenever that may be). I have no confidence in this coach's ability to enhance his game at the moment and i do believe playing in this team which is shot of any confidence would be to his detriment at the moment.

Not saying he won't be schopp keeps playing him week in week out and he isn't ready for championship football at the minute honermark looked a better option.

Can’t see it, he’s too slow. Any improvement elsewhere will always be negated by that for me. Feel sorry for the lad, he should be playing in League 2, with a view to joining our squad next season if he does well.

Gomes looks out of his depth. I’m sure he’ll be a very good Championship player one day when he’s in a good side but looks a level above himself. Jasper Moon is good enough but not really sure where he plays. Gets caught out at centre half and lacks quality in midfield to compensate how immobile he is.

Need Romal Palmer and Josh Benson back. Both on their day have what we need and Gomes will be back on bench.

You’re right though, Herbie Kane would get plenty of football this year playing for us.

Schopp rates him highly picking him in defence before sibbick now on midfield before honermark be upfront next week.

So Schopp is the only professional involved in Moon's career to date?! I understand we are all disappointed and angry but surely the slaggng off of young players cannot possibly help. Particularly when there are more senior players not particularly pulling up any trees. But then again, this type of treatment dished out to home-grown players is hardly novel behaviour at the Oakwell theatre of nightmares!!

Everybody is always better once they’re gone. There was a few comments recently saying George Miller would suddenly do a job for us in League One. Our previous three managers all thought he was a right wing-back..

I'm not advocating slagging off young players i watched victor get ironic cheers as he was subbed at Blackpool away it was **** to watch. All I was saying is at this minute in time I don't think moon is ready to be a regular in the championship judging on what I've watched so far. And I agree many more experienced players aren't pulling there weight.

I'll stick my neck on the block and would say that our best midfield pairing right now is Hondermarck and Gomes. If Benson were fit it would be Hondermarck and Benson. Hondermarck has come in and looks head and shoulders above what we already have in that position. He'd be my first name on the team sheet. I can't understand why he was let go from Norwich and I'd get him snapped up on a proper contract here before he leaves us for next to nowt in January ala Vaz Te.

Amazing how some people don’t know the difference between offering an opinion and ‘knowing more than professionals’.

    Also, who’s ‘slagging him off’?

Amazing how some people don't know the difference between offering an opinion and stating something with absolute certainty. Particularly prevalent amongst those with an axe to grind. In my opinion. And I guess the difference between slagging off and stating whatever one's opinion is, is a matter of opinion.
