They're in a state at the moment mate. When I moved over they were top of the pile so I couldn't really take to them because I prefer to root for the underdog. Times have changed dramatically though. I'll have to have a trip to Turner's Cross when crowds are back.

When I lived in Setubal...Portugal my partners family were divided in their support between the following teams Benfica... Sporting and Porto Which made for interesting evenings when they played each other.... 2 of her cousins had also played for Benfica and Sporting so had personal connections to their respective clubs....but yet we all at times went to watch Setubal play Because Setubal were the underdogs both in talent and financial clout I felt I had an affinity with them ...whilst I had a soft spot for them....I never lost my heart for the Grove Street mob....even though I hardly got to see them. at that time... Same thing had happened previously to Portugal ...when I used to mate around with one of the Hull players...id go to watch Hull play....then go in the players lounge drinking with them and the opposition .... In both given situations..... Everybody knew I was a Barnsley fan at heart and often ribbed me about it.... In Portugal whilst attending lunch or dinners and games with certain football players and staff it was surprising how many of them knew so much about us.( Barnsley) ..name dropping here....but even the great man Eusebio had a good amount of knowledge on us which amazed me to be honest You can take the boy out of Barnsley but you can't take Barnsley Fc out of him Well you can't in my experience
Been away from Barnsley since 1990 for work and personal reasons and due to domestic circumstances tend to watch local non league games rather than travelling back to Oakwell. Coming up to retirement now so looking forward to at least watching games when the Reds are down south with the occasional trip back home (and it always will be home no matter where else I live), to see family and take in a game. Sometimes have a team I want to win when watching the local games but there's only one team in my heart and it will ever be so
When I lived in Cambridge (78 to 82), I watched the U's occasionally with some locals lads I knew. However, since being in South Derbyshire, I wouldn't cross the street to watch WRDCFC unless of course they were playing the Reds.....
