RE: Very Very Very Sad News He had nothing to feel sorry for. She was old enough to have a mind of her own and all charges were dropped against him. Losing someone you love is very hard, be it a friend or family member. To lose someone so young, who you were planning to spend the rest of your life with, must have been hell for the poor bloke. Watching him on Smart when I got home from school was a big part of my childhood (Up there with Neil Buchanan).
Ohhhhh come on now. blade has a point It's not that important who introduced who to what, or who is not ready for parenthood at 40 or 90.
It's about the paper thin lifestyle of those who ultimately destroy themselves and/ or others with drugs. It's a sad sad story that is repeated and perpetuated by those who do not appear to be able to take hold of and control their lives. The cemeteries are full of them.

Thank You None of my main mates either smoke or take drugs. But I do have mates into that **** and never felt the need to join them. I don't feel like i'm missing out on anything, when they get stoned or piled up. If they pressured me (which mates shouldn't do), I would be more than capable of saying no to whatever I was offered.
Will have to send it by UPS mate I'm in Germany at the mo. Buy one thisen I'll gi thi the money if you ever turn up for a BBS night out/curry night/whatever
RE: sad but actually....! well I suppose we can only go by what we read or hear on the tv/radio. The lass was 31, old enough to make her own decisions but Mark Speight was 11 years older and i'd be surprised if he didn't "influence" her. It's reasonable to assume that he has died by his own hand, I wasn't there either he may have swallowed a wasp and choked, but I ask you was it grief or guilt that has led to his death. As for choosing not to have children, why do people make that choice ?
RE: Will have to send it by UPS mate Bring some back from Germany lol. This is what they look like........... http://snackspot.org.uk/thread.php?story=0803201826sbc 47 pence each at my local BP garage, but a pack of five for about 1.20 in town. When you back over here?
Thursday Will be at Leicester match - pre match drink in Courthouse. Got my Sky box over here for Tuesday and got a load of Germans coming round to watch. Hope we don't mess up!
RE: Thursday I shall be out around Tarn on Saturday night and so maybe you should come out and track down this Police lady
If we win I will probably be in town celebrating staying up. You never know we might bump into each other.
RE: Me neither I know, there's just no excuse now....new IE with this PC even has a spell checker! I hang my head in shame!
As for choosing not to have children, why do people make that choice ? Errrr....because they don't want children! Some people have children because it's what people do!
RE: As for choosing not to have children, why do people make that choice ? Some people can't have children, it happens, perhaps Mark Speight was one, others want to live a permanently adolescent lifestyle and having children might get in the way. Point is , for me, that having to think about childrens welfare makes you less self-focussed, your needs become secondary to another more dependant vulnerable being. Then obviously you should have less time to get drunk or immerse yourself in a hedonistic lifestyle. Doesn't always work out that way and many neglecte children develop into unhappy damaged adults. Mark Speight was a wealthy 42 year old whose life partner died throu,gh use of cocaine and alcohol which I understand to be expensive to buy. Cocaine is produced by third world under developed countries amongs people who are exploited for the gratification of selfish self obsessed affluent westerners such as Mark Speight. In reality I couldn't care less what people snort, swallow, inject, smoke, shove up their arse so i'm not taking an end of civilisation Daily Mail stance. Apparently Mark Speight has hanged himself, what about the feelings of his mother, father and family ?
You've done it again! So people who don't have children either 1. Can't or 2. Want to live a permanently adolescent lifestyle! Nice categorisation there. So you are criticising people for deciding they don't want to have children and making a rash judgement on why you think that is. I've heard people say that those who choose not to have children are being selfish, when surely bringing an unwanted child into the world and neglecting them is more selfish. I don't have any kids, probably more down to how circumstances panned out but latterly as well because I don't want any, so if in a relationship with someone else that doesn't want them doesn't make it a "adolescent lifestyle" it just makes it an adult one without kids! I've also got friends who have chosen not to have kids. In fact many of the people you meet who have chosen not to have kids are the people you might want to have kids, who would bring them up well with good morals, rather than some who just pop them out at any opportunity and then don't care what they get up to.
