whatever formula they use or presumptions they make it’s not very accurate They are destroying the country based on a lot of presumptions and guesswork. I know people who have tested positive and the other 5 members of their households have all been tested negative. they can’t just presume that because someone tests positive anyone near them has it too and class it as an active case.
In any other times, Jenrick would have been sacked three times. He broke lockdown restrictions first. He then was found out with the Desmond planning affair. And now he's been nobbled signing off £25m for a MP mates region, to then get £25m back from the mate he approved. What do you have to do to actually get sacked from this vile deceitful government? Well, apart from challenge or tell the truth.
Just that unfortunately The only one so far sacked from his position was the Tory who stood against failing grayling to be chair of the security committe, on the grounds he knew a fair bit about it and Grayling didnt. Anything else goes - incompetence is seen as a virtue as it makes Boris look less bad, as for corruption its almsot as if its positively encouraged
It's a tough competition but he's probably number 1 on the list of faces I'd like to smack this week.
There was Javid stepping down (though very much orchestrated) to allow all the spads to report directly to Cummings.
People don't understand big numbers. They just don't. And I'm not calling everyone stupid, our brains aren't really developed to deal with them. You have to teach yourself to deal with them, it really isn't something that comes naturally.
People who are self isolating as a precaution aren't counted as an active case. They work out how many asymptomatic POSITIVES there will probably be in the community, based on the proportion of asymptomatic people that are showing up in tests.
Hmmm, considering the staggering amount of false positives from the test, it wasn't developed to diagnose Covid-19 in humans, it was designed to indicate the presence of this strain of coronavirus virus in the lab, be that an active virus, an inactive virus or a virus fragment, and it was specifically stated that it should never be used for diagnosis of the disease, but the world went ahead anyway, then this could be THE most inaccurate estimation there has ever been in the entirety of human history. That isn't hyperbole.
If the press, a lot of whom aren't Tory fanboys are to be believed the negotiations got some way close. Whilst anyone can admire a principled stand I wonder on Burnham's political antenna. The Gov were in two negotiations as of this morning, playing hardball with each. Did the Mayor really think they were going to cave in when the EU are watching. A shame for the good folk of Manchester and I think the Gov are making an example here, but Burnham could surely have seen it coming, took the deal and applied moral pressure afterwards. This Gov are vulnerable to adverse publicity. I said it before elsewhere, don't be too surprised if Bojo doesnt see his term out. No consolation to the average Manc though
I like Andy Burnham - and I supported his attempt to get more money - but a smart negotiator knows how far to push things.
My old fella had a saying.... The only good tory is a dead one.... Nowt changed with this government Being an out and out socialist and proud to say so il never understand why any working class man or woman would ever want to get up and vote for the so called elite....forget the media and their insistence of using the term middle class theres only 2 classes elite or working class ....within those classes theres levels of wealth.of course but if you've got to get up and have to go to work....then You're working class.....get over it...and before anybody jumps on my back this comes from a bloke who's owned numerous businesses throughout my working life....and who isnt afraid to admit I'm working class..... Too many folk these days are too self centred and live in a me first me last bubble The sooner we all start pulling together and stop this shower of 5h1te getting away all these rules regulations and new laws they keep bringing in under the banner of covid the better.... One rule for them another for us..... And unfortunately it will get worse until we make a stand
Think you only need go back to the 80s. The same government. The same **** you north. But of course, we are not allowed to talk about the 80s anymore. Whilst ever I'm alive it will be remembered. We suffered serious hardship. The north hasn't truly ever recovered from it. And just when it looked like some are managing to, it's a simple case of.. "**** you, get back in your box you northern *****. Love. Tories from the south."
One thing I dont understand is why does Manchester now need to move to Tier 3 when it looks like infections peaked 2 weeks ago Its interesting to look at figures for other areas too where I am in Surrey it has been flat for the last week, Same for my sister in Redbridge(London) and I looked in Allerdale where we plan a long weekend next month (lockdowns permitting) and there its a similar shape to Manchester with a steady decline in recent days. South Yorks is a different matter though there there is still an upward curve as mentioned in other threads
