They were always a bogey team, but I disliked them (hate is such a strong word) since the 2000 Playoff Final defeat. We got there very early as it was our first visit to Wembley, had something to eat then went for a steady walk around the perimeter of the famous old ground. Pelted with stones and hurled abuse at by the Ipswich fans when we got round there end of the ground. I did nothing to justify that abuse other than wearing a Red Barnsley shirt. I've never ever been spoken to or treated like that in my nearly 50 years of going to football games. Disgusting behaviour from them totally unwarranted.
I’ve never really liked them. Even in the early seventies when they were a top club with many Scots in their team. Peter Lorimer came from Dundee and that never swayed me. Always hated their boring all white kit.
Don't particularly like their fans, they have always had this thing that they should/ deserve to be in the PL, I think many other teams fans probably have a soft spot because of Bielsa, he appears very down to earth, stopping his car to have photo's with fans, he will get paid a shed load but appears very humble
It's very difficult at the moment because the hatred of all things Leeds runs deep but I have to concede they have a good team.
I live in West Yorkshire with millions of Leeds supporters and the ones who actually attend hellend road are fine, it's them who don't who are a pain.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Leeds, Wednesday and Millwall...well when I say soft spot I actually mean a puss filled boil on my backside
At the moment they are running a very close second to Sheffield Wednesday as to the team I detest most in the world of football. My other aversion is Manchester United. Whenever they are on MOTD, I always leave the room to make a drink or feed the dog. Can't abide them.
Funny that two of our best managers came from Leeds - Allan Clarke and Norman Hunter. I suppose for the younger fans that's just history. At the moment we have Halme and Mowatt who have been at Leeds and our very own Paul Heckingbottom put his Reds Fans shirt off to take over the club, though we know how that turned out When we played them at the end of the last season, lots of Leeds fans were on social media praising our performance. No I don't like them either - and why does Bielsa annoy me? Like a lot of football coaches he doesn't look fit enough to run for a bus, He speaks little or no English and he squats on his haunches like an old collier. HIs dress sense is very poor too....is he really a tactical genius???
