I’m not surprised, I’ve met him & found him to be a nice bloke even if I didn’t really rate him as Barnsley manager. Great gesture

I applauded in an indifferent way for Cyrille Regis at Villa Park.

    PRAISE ME FOR MY GESTURE.

No offence intended but I just have a slightly different take on things.

This can be summed up as man wears black armband to honour passing of colleague, friend and employer who he owes his career to. Not sure it's even noteworthy never mind worth praising. If others believe it to be some fantastic gesture that's up to them.

Because I don't want to blow smoke up someone's arse just for wearing a black armband? OK.

Nice gesture. I didn’t rate Johnson as Barnsley manager but he comes across as a nice bloke.

If you don't want to then don't. Why bother pointing out that you think other people shouldn't either since "he should" be doing it.

Correct. I chose to. All posts put in the public domain are there to be responded to as we see fit. Hence me getting it in the neck for having a different opinion.

No, you're getting it in the neck for the same reason Hemsy does. You're like a dog with a bone.

Lee Johnson wore a black arm band in the public domain - seems like he's getting it in the neck from you also. Tongue in cheek, but you get the gist.

If people want to congratulate him for showing a bit of class when he didn't need to then so be it.

Don't see why it would offend you to the point where you need to start making statements like the climbing of Everest to raise money for cancer research.

The post lacks a lot of class, whether you believe so or not - hence people giving it you in the neck.
