The comedy carpet was a brilliant addition across from the tower. The new sea defence all down the promenade was worth the years it took to finish. Nice and quiet too if you stay up north at Gynn Square where The Gynn has lots of different beers on draught.
Whilst he looks like skeletor, and he's been on the managerial merry-go-round for quite some time now, Michael Appleton has actually developed into a decent manager. He should be in the Championship, and he's dropped on a Blackpool side buoyed by new ownership. They hit form at the right time in the league, similarly to us in 15/16, and I can see them consolidating in the championship next season if they go up! Lincoln could be a stern test in the final though.
We stayed as far up as Bispham last time we went. A good 30 minute walk back to the tower, but it's absolutely dead up there, still on the tram line, and much cheaper than just a couple of miles down the road. Found a great Thai restaurant across from the North Pier too. Forgot the name, but I remember it had a person's name in it.
Chuffed for Dougall. Thought he was easily a championship player before his injury. Did he fall out of favour with struber? Can't really remember.
Dougall is a good player, just thought he didn’t have the pace for the Championship, especially in midfield.
Maybe not, but the game we play would not suit him. I also thought he didn’t read the game that well, especially when compared to the 2 names you mention.
Yeah agree he's not at that level. And maybe not suited to our style of play at present. I don't see why Struber ruled him out though.
I agree 100%, he should have been given more opportunities under Struber. I liked Kenny and thought he did well in the team, but is he Championship standard, I’m not sure. However, I also had high hopes for George Moncur, and look how that ended up
Oh I was a massive Moncur fan boy at first. I accept I got that massively wrong! Hopefully get to see if Kenny is up to the champ next season.
