Tbf I've just met a lovely Millwall fan doing some great charity work off her own bat. As always some folk love to ruin it for others

I also know a lovely Millwall fan, my dad.
He finds these morons and their ilk embarrassing and ridiculous. He’s lived up here for 48 years now, had a season ticket for Barnsley for around 20 of those(refuses to sit down to watch a match) but would still pick Millwall or dulwich hamlet over anyone else.

The Defender of the Indefensible shows his face again.

    Why not change your avatar?

There are working class south London clubs that don't have fans like this, clubs that have let great black players build a career, like Crystal Palace, Brentford, Charlton, Leyton Orient. I know Millwall have a few, including Jazzie B's son. Their support base is built on racism. How they got to be "family club of the year" puzzles me.

I know what you mean Helen. At the play off final we had great crack with some Millwall fans both in the pub pre match and on the tube. Some solid working class lads and lasses there. Then we of course witnessed their thugs attacking the Barnsley families in the upper tier during the match. They have a*seholes and decent fans following them,as do most clubs, including our own.

We should delete the wanting signs on bleach for a few years.

The one which says ‘DO NOT DRINK’.

That’ll sort a lot of them.

Reading between the lines, it looks as though the target of the racial abuse may have been Diaby. Despite what the Millwall fans are saying on their website, their own club is taking it seriously enough, at least initially, to make an official statement about the incident/s. Where our players may have got it wrong may have been to react at the final whistle to the area of the crowd from which the abuse was coming. Chelsea handled it correctly yesterday, which involved the abused player reporting the incident to his captain, who reported it to the referee. As this was during the game, stadium announcements were then correctly made. If it had been at the end of the game, the same procedure should have been followed and there would have been more chance that the referees would have heard for themselves what was going on. That's the correct procedure. It was not the best way of handling the situation for our players to be riled into directly having a go back at the crowd. Maybe that's what happened. Incidentally, someone might forward the link of that Millwall forum both to the club, Millwall, and to the PFA. It shows that there is a sub-culture there. I don't see any similar comments on this forum and the Millwall forum itself seems to be suggesting that fans who are too snowflake about issues such as racism should go and watch Charlton, or Palace. Sad for them, but most folks know that this problem exists in many clubs, but seems to be almost a validated culture amongst some (maybe minority) of Millwall fans. Did anything ever happen over the chanting at the Milwall v Everton cup tie last year? The worst I have witnessed at an English ground. No obvious commensurate action taken.

I would say if you were being racially abused then to not expect a reaction is a bit naive. I dont know about anyone else but I tend to get more riled up on behalf of my friends and family than I do for myself

I had a look round the forum to see if it was just that thread that was dodgy, but it actually gets a lot worse, it's like a National Front forum...

Wow, just when I thought that their page could not get any worse, I was proved wrong, sadly! I feel like there is no hope for some people.
