I gave too much away not long back saying l was working on something to do with work, but it kind of touches on what area l work in. I read somewhere that over 60% of employers check the potential candidates social media to see if they can work out what type of person they are. I closed all mine down years ago and not opened them back up since, a breath of fresh air. There's was nothing on them but sometimes something you may think is innocent can go against you.
Our youngest son applied for a job in which he had to sign up to the Official Secrets Act. He was unable to tell us what the job entailed, but as part of the vetting process, he had to declare not only his own financial details, but those of his two brothers and my wife and myself. Following that procedure, he was appointed to the post and has been there four years now. We still don't know what it is he does, although we suspect his has some kind of a link to the Home Office, because he told us that our financial checks had come back as satisfactory and I checked with Experian of which I'm a member to be told the enquiry had come from the Home Office in Westminster.
