Weeelllll, they kind of did, given that they set up a whole football team that got as high as the National League North and built a modern 4,400 capacity stadium...
Dumb ******** hiding the identity of the faces of them but one of them is wearing very distinctive trainers that will make them easy to find.
I do believe a fair proportion of them did. And there has been protests for years, the ESL has tipped the fans over the edge.
That was 29th April. This was obviously planned so needed time post Super Six meltdowns and Man Utd v Liverpool is BY FAR a bigger game than United vs. Roma.
Why isn’t it? It’s not being used as a protest against the glazers it’s just to cause trouble and damage.
Everyone is asking why the Liverpool game? I thought that was obvious. Because the last straw for a lot of fans was the disgraceful decision to join the super league. Liverpool was another team who made the disgraceful decision so it's that game which gets used to show they won't put up with owners who don't care about fans any longer.
Yes, I think that's why they are doing it, but I'm sorry their methods are the work of a bunch of morons, that may, or may not, have the support of the official anti Glazer campaign. They clearly aren't helping their club, owners or no owners. I have very good friends at Blackpool FC & know how they recovered their club. They ramped up protests brilliantly over time. This is thug life, (passing 2 Pac reference). If this were Barnsley we'd have had a 15 point reduction, a transfer ban & McGeehan would have the obligatory 3 match ban as icing on the cake.
To be fair they have always hated the Glazers, they tolerated them when the were winning things but this Superleague fiasco was the last straw The Glazers havent put a penny into the club they were successful despite not because of them because they had one of the best managers who ever lived at the time of the takeover who stayed there until he retired. Since then the club has gone downhill Far be it from me to sympathise with Man U fans but the actual real fans who go to games have a real cause for complaint
Not sure a club can control supporters away from the ground. I really dislike Man Utd by the way, but it's hard to hold them directly responsible for this.
Blackpool went about it in the right way when it came to protesting against their owners imo. Slashing coach tyres isn't the right way.
Not sure a club can be held responsible for something that happens on a public road that they have no control over
According to Sky Liverpool players are already in the ground also live pictures show the crowds have been moved on so think the game looking fairly safe to take part
I bet more will watch the Liverpool game globally. And I bet it's not even close. This is why they wanted the ESL. The big teams playing each other always attracts the highest numbers
