When I used the words 'nice football' in an earlier post, I do accept that nice football isn't required at the moment. We need some horrible, nasty, cheaty type of football that might win us some points. Oh to described like the Vinny Jones Wimbledon team!!

I don't think we need to play nasty and cheating football. We just need to be effective and sensible.

That's the galling thing. We do absolutely brain dead things. There was one point where one of our defenders played a square ball to the centre half. Water sprayed up and it was the nearest the ball got to sticking. the forward momentarily thought there was a chance to get it and then saw he couldn't.

Now I'm not a footballer, but you would hope there would be some internal intelligence... even in a young player who has still probably been getting coached for at least a decade through some youth structure... that playing a ball like that when its been chucking it down and there is surface water everywhere, well... that's its not very bright, has no upside, but a very large downside.

Its that sort of thinking that's the problem. Making poor decision after poor decision. Whether attacking, whether keeping it in midfield or doing it at the back.

A bit more organisation, a captain and 3 experienced heads would help this team massively. But I fear the spreadsheet must have a high bias for uncovering meek lambs who aren't vocal and aren't willing to orchestrate.
