Italian takeover talk again this morning

    Oh dear. Not impressed with how Italians have run British clubs in past.. Well if he does take over at least he has football experience. Not like others who came straight from the oil business or F1.

    I'm afraid I immediately think that the money underwriting the club would be dishonest if it was coming through/from Italy.
    A football club is a multimillion pound cash business, thousands of small cash transactions every week through ticket sales and merchandise.
    I'm no financial expert but I think that is exactly the sort of business you need to launder money, so if there were an Italian takeover I'd want to believe it was done for footballing reasons, not as some sort of financial puppet.

    Chairmen say say the easiest way to become a millionaire from being a billionaire is to run a football club.
    Let the club be run by fans!
