Maybe because our whole side as a unit were poor, when you play at top level there are always options, the higher the standard the better the movement , pass and move is the norm and usually players at top level have better touch and control , with us we had players who were simply not up to it and then the whole team ceases to function as a unit .

Hungary looked OK tonight. Styles was entirely anonymous.

Well, he wasn't when he got the free kick that led to the goal that means they're beating us as it stands!

To be honest he was nowhere near as effective tonight as he was against Germany but I actually thought he was limping or certainly carrying some kind of knock , his movement seemed restricted .

If all we've got is he got fouled once, and that's what we're using to suggest he had a good game, then it strengthens my point rather than weakening it.

Didn't notice that, but I wasn't watching so closely to notice, so wouldn't argue with you.

Not really, it means he was threatening their goal. And that wasn't his only possession. England had the majority of it though but Callum was part of the press that meant England didn't do much with it!

Phillips at fault again but it'll all be Stones fault! 0 2!

I thought he did nothing and as his manager brought him off after 55 minutes I'd be surprised if he thought much different.

To be honest having watched the team in white who are supposed to be world class I think finding fault with any Hungarian player is a bit lame , Hungry as a team & unit have made England look like decidedly second best & thoroughly deserve their win .

Styles from Lancashire did sod all, but he did win a free kick which led to their first goal. So man of the match then ehh.

Other than picking the pocket of Harry Kane and winning the free kick that led to their first goal.

If we were to honestly rate every player from tonights game - how many premiership players would actually make the list ahead of Styles?

Hungary improved 300% after they brought him off.

England were awful, almost to a man, although I actually thought Kane still looked quality.

That doesn't make Styles' performance good. In any way.

Well if Kane is quality - and Styles nicked the ball off him... what's the conclusion?

I suppose we could judge the game on a split second, but personally I'd prefer to look at the 90 minutes.

If you thought Styles played well, good for you. I'm not bothered about convincing you otherwise, I'm not picking out your threads to challenge you, simply responding to you.

He didn't play well. He rarely does. I am able to see that.

You’re ‘able’ to see something others don’t see?

I don’t suppose there’s any room in your ego to see that we just have different opinions.
