Oh, aye(!) Stop it with the macho, misogynistic posts. As someone who actually knows you, they're as believable as an honest Tory!
Ar wo't same every Setder neet in't Hub. It dint matter that I didn't smell nice after wading through 3 inches of piss on't floor but they were ok wi it.
Since the sparrowhawk has been visiting us, the garden's devoid of any other birds. He's either eaten the lot, or they've all fecked off somewhere safer...
Ahh, the golden showers fountain coming down the stairs. I wonder if that's where whispers got the idea from?
On the feeder: The good: Blackbirds, Robins, Dunnock, Greenfinch, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Starlings. The bad: Crows, Pigeons and the ******* Magpie which I will catch hopefully. Only hear at night, Screech Owl.
Interesting. We get quite a few Dunnock but they're never on the feeder. They prefer to scratch around underneath and be in direct competition with the mice.
Back on the bird subject, my daughter went for a lockdown walk in Sefton Park the other day and phoned the RSPCA to help a Swan that looked as though it was stuck in ice. And indeed it was, seems they can get iced in. Anyway all good in the end, it seems to be OK BBC News - Liverpool fire crews wade into frozen lake to rescue swans in Sefton Park https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-55636333
I put some fat balls out after taking the bird feeders down in first lockdown when we saw a large rat feeding from it in broad daylight. I felt sorry for them with the freezing weather , and with 30 minutes we had three and four tits trying to get on at once. Absolutely tons of song birds in this part of Bretton
