I think it would sell a few. Not many granted but a few. Im just surprised that they didn't show an artists impression with a 'coming for the new season' style story to try to entice a few stay aways. Of course performances on the pitch matter most but when it comes to committing yourself I'd say that for quite a few being given the impression that the club is looking forwards and trying to improve things everywhere makes a big difference how the club is perceived. Just a minor thing anyway, the fact it's getting done is the main thing
Thatcher's government made it illegal in 1985 in League grounds after Hysel (and other violent incidents at football matches)
Mr Lee smiles too much and is too happy to be rich !!! Cos I’ve never met a rich person that smiles a lot or is happy. But doesn’t he look a really nice fella. Only way to build the club is for the first team to be more successful than our competitors - the Sheffield and Leeds clubs. And be more successful over a long period of time. I would love to see a time in my life when football supporters from throughout Yorkshire come to Oakwell to see a successful football team - instead of them persistently going to Sheffield and / or Leeds. Reverse the flow.
Definitely needs new tvs. Hopefully they will come as part of the revamps but if not I will gladly chip in to help buy bigger ones if others were willing to do the same. 55 inch tvs can be bought for £250 now and I'm guessing there would be quite a saving when buying in bulk.
The law states not in sight of the football pitch, so in theory you can sit backwards and drink!!! In all seriousness Cricket & Rugby have never had the public disturbances seen at Football. Look at yesterday 2 semi finals played back to back at Bolton’s ground, meaning 4 sets of fans mingling, never would happen in football.
People were allowed to drink in their seats at the World Cup and there was no segregation. Worked fine.
Nope, it was Budweiser. Low taste, but 4.5% or so. I was really surprised, as under Russian law no alcohol at all can be sold inside stadiums, but they made an exception for the World Cup. In Ukraine in 2012, it was all alcohol free beer inside the stadiums (although it was only written in Ukrainian, so a lot of England fans were buying four at a time. Imagine how upset they were when I told them!)
Not bad that from Chubby Conway and Cheery Chein, nice to see the improvements arand the grarnd and My seeat was pigeon ***** free, I could actually here the bloke with the mic and that mural brightens up what was a feckin drab concourse. Well done keep it up. Oh 4-0 anall great start to season all rarnd.
Been to Magic Weekend a couple of times and it's an all day sesh. Never seen any trouble. Not sure the same would happen in footy grounds though, sadly. Not saying our fans in particular would cause issues.
