Root can easily play until that age, he's fit enough and doesn't play that much cricket. Look at Jimmy Anderson, only comes out for the test matches now. He can beat Tendulkar

I fear that this may be such a good batting wicket that a result will be impossible. We could get 450 but then they bat for two days and get 500 plus.

Great to see Root doing so well but a potential double hundred might be all for nothing if we only get a draw

You are right mate. But I think I saw S.T. That night. the dates are right and He Played for Yorkshire in that year. 1992.

 

500 minimum, they won’t roll over easily and then the 3rd and 4th innings of the match might be a completely different story if it spins. Always the same in the sub continent, get your runs in the first innings.
